SMOLENSK STATE AGRICULTURAL ACADEMY INTRODUCED ARTEK RESIDENTS TO THE SECRETS OF BREAD MAKING

From June 15 to 17, the Smolensk State Agricultural Academy, as part of the team of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, took part in the technology festival "From Dream to Progress" in "Artek", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the legendary center. As part of the festival, a career guidance zone "Pro Agro" was organized, where young Artek residents were able to get acquainted with modern agriculture.
At the site of the Smolensk State Agricultural Academy, acting vice-rector for educational work and youth policy Irina Fetisova and acting head of the department of agronomy, horticulture, selection, seed production and land management Olga Solntseva held a master class "What does bread smell like?" More than 150 children from 8 to 17 years old learned about the peculiarities of bread production, from choosing ingredients to baking, and tried themselves in the role of bakers.
"It is important for us not only to show the technological process, but also to instill in the children respect for the work of farmers, as well as strengthening their traditional spiritual and moral values," noted Irina Fetisova.
The master class "What does bread smell like?" became part of a large-scale career guidance program designed to introduce the younger generation to the prospects of the agricultural sector. The participation of Smolensk State Agricultural Academy in the festival is a contribution to the popularization of agricultural education and the training of future personnel for the agro-industrial complex.
Smolensk State Agricultural Academy congratulates "Artek" on its 100th anniversary and wishes the center further prosperity and new achievements!
